Ok, that's enough spruiking of the new website. Moving on.
What have we been up to lately? Since Christmas we've camped in Hawks Nest, spent a long weekend on the Gold Coast and holidayed in Fiji. Here's a quick summary.
As a child my families vacation spot of choice was camping 100m from the beach at Hawks Nest. It was wonderful to bring back those fun filled childhood memories; Hawks Nest's famous dumping waves, shell collecting, sand boarding and scoffing the best meat pies around. Over the week we had postcard weather, crystal clear blue skies all day everyday. This made for some unreal sunrise dunking / shooting and epic night star trail and fireworks photography sessions. We did luck out though, as we left our campsite it began to rain heavily and it didn't stop for an entire week! Poor campers that stayed on got totally flooded.
Our short trip to the Gold Coast was hot, humid and stormy - which wasn't that nice to just sit on the beach. Trying to have somewhat of a cheaper holiday we were roped into a timeshare presentation in lieu of cheap theme park tickets. 90 + minutes later we thankfully emerged without signing the $38,000 dotted line. Off to the theme parks we went; Sea World; Movie World and Wet 'n Wild for the rest of the week. Not exactly what we had in mind for this holiday but turned out quite well.
Three days after returning we jetted off for Nadi, the sauna capitol of the world. Spent six or so days cruising the Yasawa Islands staying at some very unique destinations. We had a wonderful time mixing it with the locals both on land and in the water. I plan on doing a complete wrap up in a future blog - stay tuned.
Throw in a few great days shooting Bondi and you have a crash course of my last month. Look forward to sharing more pics and stories with you soon. Remember to subscribe to get these blog posts direct to your inbox.
