Not the only grey suit this morning
~
Happy Friday!
My last Bondi morning shoot for 2016 (off to Melbourne tomorrow).. not exactly how I envisaged it but a fabulous morning none the less. Instead of a hot and more typical summer sunrise we were left with a thick blanket of uninspiring grey clouds stopping any chance of colour passing through. Thankfully the waves were quite good across the beach. From the south 2-3ft with slight offshore breeze. Best to be in the southern corner, just off the rocks - could ride these to shore not like the more open peaks which were closing out.
But, do you really want to be sitting where a large (6ft board size) grey object was spotted cruising around just moments prior?? Amin spotted it as he waited for a wave..his concerns were: (1) the safety of everyone; & (2) there's good waves today and he didn't want to call everyone out if the shark was just minding its own business. He shifted this responsibility to the lifeguards.. needless to say most people chose to stay wet or go back in not long after. Made for an interesting morning...
Have a safe Xmas; say hello to your family for me!!
