Two words to describe this morning... Damn Cold!

At 8pm my fingers are just starting to thaw out; that is after two hot showers; basking in the midday sun; a number of hot coffees and meals. All jokes aside I did feel numbness in my thumbs throughout the day, the cool overnight temps and bitter westerly winds made it rather difficult to shoot this morning ... it was a constant battle to keep my body and limbs warm. I've now found a pair of gloves to go with the puffy jackets so tomorrow I should hopefully feel warmer :-)

This morning I made my way to Maroubra hoping that yesterdays South swell was still kicking. It had dropped a fair amount but still had some decent size on the sets. The North end of the beach lit up for a period from around 8:30 and some fun sections were ripped to shreds by the local groms and man groms braving the chills. I couldn't be tempted to jump, no way!

Good luck to both teams France and Croatia and their respective supporters tonight. Hope it's a cracker game filled with stunning strikes! May the best team win :-)
