On the Road

On the Road

Picking up a rental was the best thing we could have done. Around Argentinean Patagonia, there's just so much to see, and being stuffed in a bus without stops would have frustrated me.

Imagine cruising the deserted highway and witnessing a flock of skittish guanacos close by or an emu standing proud. Watching a pack of kites glide gracefully overhead. Seeing a cheeky fox lying low in the grassy lowlands. Being mesmerized by an epic Patagonian landscape and not having the ability to pull over and take it all in, let alone take a few snaps. The freedom our buzzbox afforded us was fabulous.

Our four-day road trip took us around Calafate town, up to the glacier (as seen in my previous post), and north to El Chaltén (the hiking capital of the world). These few pics were taken with the hazard lights flashing, no more than 100m from the side of the road.
