It's on again ~ 100s of sculptures have taken over the Bondi to Tama coastal walk. Wandering along the shoreline at first light on the first official day was a great choice, hardly anyone out. To be frank they were still putting the final touches of the exhibit together and some of the major pieces were still under lock and key... a shiny chrome rocket has now been lifted in and installed at the head of Marks Park. *I'll have to get a pic another time.

 

So, which artwork catches your eye? I'm all for the weird and wacky. A shark charging out of a banana peel, an out-of-place astronaut and a giant monkey with golden balls made me laugh.

 

Bondi's Sculptures by the Sea runs from now until 4 November 2024... leave the car at home.
